From lush landscapes to colonial charm, I seek hotels that offer a taste of authentic Sri Lankan culture. During my recent business trip to a cozy cottage in Tangalle, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality of the local family residing there. While the standard of the rooms was basic, the spacious layout with three bedrooms and a living room provided a comfortable retreat. Located conveniently in the town center, next to the bus station, the cottage was just a short 10-15 minute walk from the nearest beach. Overall, my experience at this quaint cottage was delightful, and I would highly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a simple yet charming stay in Tangalle.
